The Italian luxury-goods brand Bruno Magli ( features striking new footwear in its Collezione range (starting at $600 a pair). Calf-leather models in the series present an elongated European-style silhouette and whimsical details, such as fleurs-de-lis and other delicate perforations. It takes several days for the craftsmen, who work in small, family-owned ateliers outside Bologna, to produce the various pairs, each of which is unique thanks to the use of techniques including tamponato, a practice that involves dabbing on layers of dye.
